Policies, Terms, and Restrictions

Reservations

  • Reservations must be made at least 3 business days in advance, subject to availability.
  • To confirm the reservation, proof of payment must be sent according to the agreed method.

Modifications and cancellations

  • Date changes or cancellations must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
  • If the passenger does not show up on the day of the tour or does not modify their reservation within the deadlines, the service will be considered rendered, without the right to a refund.

Weather conditions

  • Excursions are carried out under the weather conditions of the day.
  • In the event of conditions that compromise safety or the experience, the activity may be rescheduled, provided there is availability.

Access to Rapa Nui National Park

  • All visitors must have their entrance ticket to the Rapa Nui National Park,
    purchased online, at official Ma’u Henua ticket offices, or directly with us.
  • It is mandatory to carry the personal documentation corresponding to the ticket (RUT or passport).
  • The tour must be done with an accredited guide or person of the Rapanui ethnicity, according to current regulations.

Unforeseen site closures

  • In the event of unforeseen closures of archaeological sites by the administration (Ma’u Henua), it will not be possible to visit that place.
  • We are not responsible for these closures, and restructuring of the tour is not guaranteed unless there is availability for adjustments.

Physical conditions

  • Participants must be in physical condition compatible with the contracted activity.
  • It is recommended to report relevant medical conditions or special needs in advance.

Punctuality

Start and pick-up times must be strictly adhered to. In case of delay by the passenger, the activity time will not be extended and could mean the loss of service.

Equipment

  • The passenger is responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and equipment (comfortable shoes, clothing suitable for climate changes, water, sunscreen, etc.).
  • Maori Tour Rapa Nui can provide specific additional equipment (trekking poles, raincoats, flashlights), depending on the contracted activity.

Responsibility and insurance

  • Maori Tour Rapa Nui guarantees that all its services are carried out with accredited guides, vehicles in safe conditions, and appropriate equipment for the activity.
  • Each passenger is responsible for taking care of their physical integrity during the development of the activity. The company is not responsible for personal accidents caused by carelessness, falls, blows, sprains, or other situations derived from the participant’s own physical condition or recklessness.
  • Each traveler is recommended to have travel or accident insurance valid during their stay on the island.
  • In case of medical emergencies, immediate assistance will be provided and referred to the nearest health center, but the costs will be the responsibility of the passenger.
